Question: Is There an Ethnic Prevalence of Asthma?

Answer: Studies have shown that asthma is more common in African Americans than in Caucasians, but experts are not sure this is related to race. It could be that higher numbers of African Americans live in large urban areas, which is known to be a risk factor because of the higher levels of pollution and other asthma triggers.
